Your Guide to Laurel's Loblolly Festival Weekend
Fall is one of our favorite times of the year especially in downtown Laurel. The City Beautiful becomes magical during the fall/winter months. Some of our most popular events all take place over these months making this time of the year even more special. One of those events is our annual Loblolly Festival. To us, fall officially begins on the first Saturday of October. This full day event gets us in the spirit even if it is 90 degrees outside. It's a festival honoring our rich heritage as a sawmill town. Artisans from several states set up shop along the streets, live music can be heard all throughout downtown, the aroma of authentic festival food fills the air, and scarecrows can be spotted in front of each business throughout downtown as they all participate in the Scarecrow Harvest Contest so be sure to be on the lookout for those! This family friendly event also has plenty of activities for the kiddos so bring the family and plan to spend the day with us on October 5!
This year, the Loblolly Festival falls on October 5. The fun begins at 9am and wraps up at 5pm.
