Tree Lighting & Annual Laurel Sertoma Club Christmas Parade
Friday, December 1, 2023
Join us in Pinehurst Park as we light Laurel's tallest Christmas tree in downtown with carols and candlelight from 5:30-6:00 pm.
Bring the whole family to experience the largest parade in the state of Mississippi at 7 pm in Downtown Laurel. Enjoy watching the floats, listening to the bands and as we all anxiously await for the arrival of Santa!
Pancake Day
Saturday, December 2, 2023
A decades-long tradition for many families is to enjoy pancakes at the YWCO or First Baptist Church on the first Saturday in December. Laurelites young and old return home for this event, and the highlight is bumping into friendly faces while in line or finding a seat. The griddle starts cooking at 7:00 am and runs to 1:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for an all you can eat for a delicious pancake breakfast!
United Way's Prancer Path
Located in the Back Lot area of 250 Magnolia Street in Downtown Laurel, the Prancer Path is a beautiful display of holiday cheer. Trees sponsored and decorated by businesses, individuals, and schools in our community are featured in this fundraiser for the United Way of the Pine Belt.
Christmas Lights at Landrum's Homestead
Every weekend in December 4:00-8:00pm
Step back in time and take a Christmas walking tour of the past. Enjoy wagon rides, hot chocolate, photos with Santa, funnel cakes and marshmallow roasting. Each night from 4:00-8:00pm the homestead will be illuminated with thousands of Christmas lights! Click here to learn more.
Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas Concert

Don’t miss the 14th annual family-friendly Laurel Christmas tradition! The show includes a performance by The Joe Cool Trio – John Milham (drums), Chris Spies (piano), and Chris Severin (bass) - guest Clarence Johnson - all performing Vince Guaraldi’s Masterpiece Soundtrack, A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Join the businesses in Downtown Laurel for some CHRISTMAS MAGIC! This family-friendly event is an after hours, last-minute-Christmas-shopping recipe for Christmas joy.
Merchants will be open late, each offering their own interpretation of Christmas cookies, as well as deals, specials, and promotions that will help you finish off your Christmas list!
In addition, you'll experience live music in Trustmark Art Park, carolers across downtown, Christmas movies on the big screen at Wilson's Commissary, a live Nativity at The Rusty Chandelier, carriage rides by Cloverleaf Carriage, Cookies for a Cause at The Remnant, live readings of Christmas childrens' books, a Santa photo op, and MUCH MORE!
