#744 Coconut Cream Pie.

5 years ago, to surprise Ben for a semester of good grades at Ole Miss, I made Southern Living’s coconut cream pie. He never got over it. He still talks about it all the time even though I never made it again. Jim is constantly searching for a restaurant serving coconut cream pie. Every single place we go to for dinner, he asks the server at the end, “you got any coconut cream pie?” even if we’re at McDonald’s.

Tonight our buddy Dave had a get together and I decided out of the blue to bring the sought after pie.

It turned out better than last time from what I remember about it and it wasn’t difficult at all. We snuck the last slice home before it was gone, so here’s tomorrow’s well balanced breakfast:
