#2,335 Fresh Paint.

The last time we painted the front porch was 2012 when we bought our house and I didn’t love the first try–it was too light and not a great choice for muddy footsteps. The next day we got a can of Roycroft Brass from Sherwin Williams and it was the jackpot of porch floor colors. Complimented the wall color, disguised pollen and footsteps. I was in love!

It’s finally started to chip around the front steps and there was no time like the present to give it a fresh coat with the just-washed surface to work from. It only took an hour to touch up all the white trim around the porch and give the floor a fresh coat of Roycroft Brass oil enamel…

And now we wait until tomorrow for it to cure before we can set foot on it. It’s amazing what a coat of paint can do to make an old house feel like a spring chicken.
