#891 The Craigslist Desk.

Several months ago we found a vintage oak teacher’s desk on Craigslist for $50. It was in kind of ragged condition with the veneer on top breaking off in places and it was painted maroon. Right when we got it we scraped 90% of the paint off then things got busy with Christmas and the desk sat unfinished in my parents’ garage until today. The new computer is coming in Wednesday which means the old one is moving in here so we had to get in gear with the desk. We refinished the top and I decided to leave the one oddly grey/green drawer handle because every room needs a bit of quirk. It only took us 5 months to finish fixing it up, but I’m pretty crazy about it.
